How to Create Content that will Reach Your People

“Don’t imagine a new world, create it.” Unknown

If you are anything like me, and I assume you are because you found your way here, you see the ugliness in the world and have a deep desire to see it change. You might even have an amazing idea that you are working on building that will help that change happen.

Be the change, right?

Imagining a new world is powerful. When we spend time focussing our immense creative energy on visualizing what we want to see change in the world, we tune our brain to both see what aligns with that vision, and the opportunities to take action to make that vision a reality.

It’s kind of like tuning a radio. You receive the signal that you are tuned in to.

However, imagining is not the end of the story.

Action is where the magic is.

And action is scary.

Let’s face it, working for positive, sustainable change in the world from a place of abundance and deep faith is subversive, which means doing it makes you vulnerable to criticism. The fear of this criticism can very easily keep you stuck in the imagining phase and subtly trick you into not taking action.

Action, specifically YOUR ACTION, is critical.

If you have a world-changing idea, a new system, a mindset program, a new technology, a health product or process, a story, an innovation that could powerfully disrupt and elevate our current reality…but you aren’t reaching the people who need it,  you aren’t changing the world.

A goal without a plan is just a wish.

An idea without execution is just a dream.

For creative, rebellious, subversive, world-changing entrepreneurs in the age of digital communication, the creation of content that is tuned to reach your people is one of the most fundamental steps towards the goal of changing the damn world.

What I find most often is stopping people is one of three things;

1. Creating content that is at the level of the creator, not the audience.

2. The “I’m not a writer” mindset

3. Lack of clarity around the fundamental through lines of your big idea

When you are in one of these three places, content creation becomes a huge energy leak, meaning, you dump tons of time into creating the “perfect” post that could be better spent on other areas of your business.

Time being a limited resource, it’s super important that you use it intentionally so that you don’t find yourself spinning your wheels and ending up getting nowhere.

One of the things I do is help people break through these blocks. Here is a great freebie for you – Create 20 Weeks of Content in 1 Hour – This is a free, hour-long workshop that comes with three visual organizers to help you get clear on your message, who needs it, how to talk to them so they will hear you, and organize it all into 20 weeks worth of pre-planned content.

Free. For real.

The most important part of being the change you wish to see in the world is BEING it. Embodying it, and then acting in alignment with who you are.

I am someone who believes that we need change, desperately, and I know that there are people out there working to make that change happen. My mission is to use my skill as a writer and general BIG IDEA junkie to help them (YOU) get your work out to the world where it can take root and flourish.

You are my why.

And the work is so worth it.
